The lights in the dark this week have been all of the truly thoughtful, generous, caring souls who have come my way, beginning with those who have gone ABOVE and beyond the call caring for and adopting familias. Local folk in the valley and friends from California taking a family’s needs into their heart, sharing with friends and family and pulling together amazing blessings for familias. You all know who you are and I am so in awe of your love, gracias!!
My precious teens (aren’t they adorable?!) and I have had the great fortune of delivering these and catching up with familias. It’s been a sweet way to have special time, taking them with me individually. (I was glad to find a win/win way to feel that I am leaving my family less)
As always, las familias are so grateful. For so long I didn’t know how to respond when familias shared their beautiful expressions of gratitude. Saying ‘you’re welcome’ never felt right because I am just a conduit for the resources. Now I say, “it’s a blessing for me too” which captures my feeling best. Sometimes I will also share how as a Latinx foster youth and social worker, I too, needed the healing of seeing whole communities respond to need.
And the blessings/lights continue to burn bright. Despite my slowing down a bit, there are still so many bringing gifts, asking how they can help, sending money… a rain of perpetual blessings. So many LIGHTS shining near and far. Not just coming to me, but across the Valley, sooo many good hearted people. Healing families. Healing me. Healing us.
As the potent Solstice and planet energies align today (be sure you see it just after sunset today!), I pray you feel the power and possibility, the warm flame and spirit held in our corazones. A new beginning that we can all be part of, big and small, hearts and lights shining as we are meant, as we are called. Mil gracias. Much love xoxo
